Selections are too narrow and confining Jul 17, 2007

Sixty percent of this volume is occupied by the first , and half the second ,cantos of " Don Juan ". Over two hundred pages of precisely metered 8 line stanzas make for a rather ponderous pocket companion. It gives the book a heavy and incomplete feel. More lyric verse would have greatly improved it's portability and given it greater breadth.Recommended for Byron fans or anyone collecting the Pocket Poets series.
great portable poet! Aug 17, 2010

Lord Byron was indeed a great English poet, if not the greatest. I like this edition, its pocket-book size is ideal notably when you go places. You enjoy the sheer poetic genius of Byron at the palm of your hand (in fact more enjoyable than listening to your portable ipod). Warmly recommended!
